“Silence is a source of Great Strength.” ~ Lao Tzu

There is so much noise and so many thoughts in my head, but when I find a quiet place and settle my mind down. I arrive at a place of silence and stillness.  My daily meditation practice allows me to go to that place of silence and the great strength that Lao Tzu talks about in this quote.  The Universe provides me with direction and answers to my questions during this quieter time because the incessant noise and daily concerns have slipped away and I can hear more clearly.

Do you find time for silence in your life?
  • If the answer is No, now might be the time to reflect on why you don’t find time for silence and why you avoid silence.
  • If the answer is Yes, how might you find more time for silence?

My favorite silent time is first thing in the morning before anyone else is awake and no phone calls, texts or doorbells. Very early. It always ends too soon. It is becoming very important to me to have this time. Sometimes I meditate and sometimes I journal. Ahhh... Silence is Golden.

Mary Ann,
I agree that first thing in the morning is the perfect time to find the silence. It is why I always meditate first thing in the morning as my mind hasn't gotten all caught up in things to do or the drama of the world, so my mind is quieter as well. Writing in your journal is another perfect thing to do first thing. You are so correct, silence is golden!
